About Rickreall Farm Supply

Rickreall Farm Supply, Inc. started in June of 1947, originally as a branch store of the Portland co-op O.G.W. (Oregon Grange Wholesale) Farm Supply.  There were originally 27 branch stores throughout Oregon selling Massey-Harris Farm Machinery.  Farmers from the local Polk County area returned after the end of World War II and found that their farm machinery needed repair and replacing.  Downtown Rickreall became a location for one of the O.G.W. branch stores.

In 1954, due to the reasons beyond control of the Rickreall branch, the entire O.G.W. organization was force to liquidate all of its assets by March 15, 1954.  A group of local farmers and people joined together and purchased the entire inventory after the sale of property had been completed.  Articles of Incorporation were given and the name of the new corporation was Rickreall Farm Supply, Inc. The first equipment line carried was Massey-Harris (later becoming Massey-Ferguson).

Rickreall Farm Supply started with just two employees and has been at the same location since 1947.  An additional store in Independence, OR (named Francis Farm Equipment) was purchased and operated by Rickreall Farm Supply for a few years until 1980 when that location merged into the current Rickreall location.

At one point in company history, Rickreall Farm Supply carried many equipment lines including: Allis-Chalmers, Massey-Harris (Massey-Ferguson), New Holland hay equipment, Versatile, Kubota and even irrigation equipment and supplies.  Of the 21 original charter U.S. Kubota dealers left today, Rickreall Farm Supply is the second-oldest continuous Kubota tractor dealer in the United States, bringing Kubota tractors into the dealership in early 1970 (2-years before the formation of Kubota Tractor Corporation, USA).

Today, Rickreall Farm Supply continues to provide sales and service of top-quality equipment.  Kubota tractors, diesel and gas utility vehicles (RTV’s), lawn mowers and related equipment is our primary product line along with Woods implements, Land Pride implements, Wacker Neuson Construction equipment and STIHL outdoor power equipment. We also sell Old Hickory Sheds. Many other short-lines are part of the family now too.  Chad Hochstetler is the current General Manager (since January 2022) and is only the fourth General Manager in our 75+ year history.
